  • Home

Pradaxa® is a blood thinner primarily prescribed for those with atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm disorder. Patients with atrial fibrillation have a higher risk of forming blood clots near the heart. Blood clots can travel through the body and cause strokes. Pradaxa is used to lower the chance of blood clots forming.

Pradaxa® is manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim. According to Boehringer, patients using Pradaxa® have died due to internal bleeding side effects. About 260 deaths in all. Side effects include of
Pradaxa® may be:

  • Cerebral Hemorrhaging
  • Internal Bleeding
  • Ulcers

Bleeding is a recognized side effect of anticoagulant therapy. Pradaxa’s® drug label does contain a warning about significant and sometimes fatal bleeding. However, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently evaluating whether the reports of bleeding in patients taking Pradaxa® are occurring more commonly than would be expected.

If you think you or a loved one has been personally injured due to Pradaxa® associated side effects we urge you to contact Longo Legal, PLLC today. Call toll free at (855)-566-4648.
